Folding armchair inspired in the "Arts and Crafts" rationalist movement of the nineteen- twenties. Made of 100% natural oak or walnut wood with seat and back cushions.
It is a place for intimate personal life. There is not intimacy without silence, without this mental and external space of solitude which allows the development of individual freedom, one´s own thoughts or the articulation of feelings. The CUSÍ armchair is one of these spaces. A solid space, secure, wide and comfortable.
Also, with no doubt, it is a perfect place for creative dialogue. You could seat in the armchair for a long period of time, even take a nap, because one of the CUSÍ armchair secrets is that both, the seat and the back, could be stretched just with a light movement of your body.
The CUSÍ armchair was made by the editor´s grandfather in the mid-twenties. It has a new folding system that was not present in the 1903 original model made by Frank Lloyd Wright as well as by Williams Morris (New York Metropolitan Museum). The concept and the style comes from the "Arts and Crafts", a movement that represented the modernization of the all times craftsmanship; Authors united in order to promote the moral superiority of a "honest" design and the use of natural materials in an industrial era.
Joan Antoni Cusí was engineer responsible in a "La Caixa" institute and he fabricated the armchair in his workshop. His grandson (the editor) seated on it since he was a child, he was surprised by the very different style that the armchair brought to the room atmosphere and, at the same time, enhanced it. The armchair´s personality provided a complementary style to all kinds of decorations. The personality of the chair provided a complementary style to any décor. The editor decided in 2008 to have the CUSI armchair redesigned and share its personality and ergonomics.
The CUSÍ armchair is especially suitable for resting interior spaces such as living rooms, reading rooms, waiting areas or for exterior spaces that are covered, porches or galleries.
Since cushions are easily removed you could change their covers and use other cloths or leather in order to create different decorations. We advices you to have several covers, one for each season.

- DAS 05: beige comprising 50 % polypropylene , 31% polyester and 19 % cotton
- DROM 12: gray consisting of 75 % polyester and 25 % polypropylene
Leather: Removable cover high wear resistance while maintaining its aesthetic quality over time premium leather flower, "Fusion Series 900 Old Leather" in 2 colors:
- 927: chocolate
- 913: beige
With the Goal of been adapted to the project demands, a customized service is offered. The CUSI could be ordered with different wood and varnishes finished.
Since the cushions are independent from the chair, we could personalized them either with the standard finished we spoke about before or with special cloth according to your creation project, filling density, etc
The CUSÍ armchair brings as complement felt leg caps.
Because it is a piece of furniture made 100% natural wood, it is ensured that the wood won´t move, with the exception of the exposition to extreme temperature changes. Water varnish has a 10 year durability as long as you don´t use it in a heavy way.

Seat and back cushions are fully removable so they can be dry-cleaned.
There is a two year minimum guarantee so, beside damage from bumps or jolts, the wooden structure will be repaired with no charge.
